Bonjour,

Je suis sous Kubuntu 7.04 et j'aimerais trouver une solution à un problème bien gênant : mon PC ne s'éteint plus correctement...

Je m'explique : lorsque je clique sur le bouton "Eteindre" via Menu K > Déconnexion, mon écran devient instantanément et complètement noir ( je n'ai donc plus l'écran habituel de la barre de "déchargement") et mon PC reste sous tension.
Ceci a commencé à survenir après que j'ai eu résolu un problème de crash du xserver suite à une installation foireuse de drivers avec Envy. En fait, j'ai d'abord utilisé la commande dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg via recovery mode comme expliqué sur un autre forum et, voyant que mon affichage était vraiment mauvais, j'ai ensuite restauré un ancien xorg.conf toujours via recovery mode.
Résultat des courses : mon affichage est à nouveau nickel mais je suis obligé d'éteindre mon PC manuellement en restant appuyé sur le bouton de mise sous tension pendant 5 secondes... =/

Voilà, j'aurais donc besoin de votre aide pour y remédier s'il vous plaît ^^

Eh ben, ça a pas l'air d'être joli ton histoire ^^

Je ferais ce que je pourrais, mais de toute façon, c'est toi qui tiendra la tronçonneuse.

La Kubuntu 7.04, un peu vieux ça, plus de deux ans. La Hardy Heron est une version qui a un an de moins et pour laquelle le support est encre censé être assuré.

Mais tu as certainement de bonnes raisons de vouloir rester sur ta 7.04 plutôt que de faire une mise à jour, non ?

Un écran noir… TOUT noir ? Même pas un peu de texte ou un petit curseur qui clignote ?

Si je n'ai pas voulu me mettre à jour, c'est parce que tout fonctionnait bien avec ma version actuelle et que je ne voulais pas courir le risque de voir apparaître des problèmes liés à cette mise à jour ou de devoir reconfigurer un tas de trucs... Mais bon, j'ai peut-être tort de penser ça... Tu me conseilles de me mettre à jour alors ?

Non, mon écran est tout à fait noir. Les LED sous l'écran indiquent qu'aucun signal vidéo ne lui parvient...

Bonjour,

Il faut faire un essai de ce genre : activer ou forcer l'acpi. En résumé:

ouvrir le fichier /boot/grub/menu.lst avec un éditeur de textes en mode root. (il faut le sauvegarder d'abord par précaution).

Ajouter à la fin de la ligne du kernel : apci=force

ne pas oublier de vérifier si acpi/acpid sont installés.

Bon, Caiman, tu peux nous pastebiner (ou mettre en [ code ]) ton fichier xorg.conf stp ? Ainsi que ton /var/log/syslog

Il faut déterminer d'où vient le problème :)

Je n'ai rien à dire sur le xorg.conf pour l'instant, juste une question pas urgente : quelle est la résolution souhaitée pour cette machine et ce moniteur ?

Pour l'instant tu devrais lancer un memtest86+. Il suffit d'ajouter une entrée dans le /boot/grub/menu.lst pour l'avoir dans le menu de grub.

Une paire de lignes comme celles-ci peuvent faire l'affaire:

title Memtest : test en continu de la memoire vive
kernel /boot/memtest.bin
en remplaçant "memtest.bin" par ce que tu trouveras comme nom pour memtest sous le répertoire /boot

Après quand tu redémarreras tu sélectionneras l'entrée pour memtest (et valider) et tu surveilleras ce qui s'y passe. Une fois tous les tests faits, si rien n'a bronché c'est que la mémoire est ok. Dans le cas contraire tu verras un ou des avertissements en rouge.

@Caiman : le syslog indique qu'il y a la possibilité d'une défaillance matérielle de la mémoire vive, la procédure qui suit a pour but de vérifier si c'est le cas.

Si tu as un LiveCD d'ubuntu sous la main, tu peux démarrer dessus et au lieu de faire une installation ou de lancer ubuntu, faire un test de la mémoire;
Si tu n'en as pas, il faut suivre la procédure décrite par mélodie.

La résolution souhaitée est 1280*1024.

Memtest86+ était disponible dans le menu GRUB depuis mon installation de Kubuntu.

Je l'ai laissé effectuer 3 cycles complets de tests mais aucune erreur n'a été signalée.

Ah, bonne nouvelle.

Bon, il y a quand même quelque chose d'étrange.
Le log de X.org est très clair et nous dis que tu utilises fglrx comme pilote graphique.
Le xorg.conf est assez clair aussi et nous dit que tu utilises ati (driver libre) comme pilote graphique.

Pour qu'X puisse en faire à sa tête et choisir son pilote comme il veut, il faut une version qui a au plus 1 an, et qui ne doit donc pas être présente sur une *buntu 7.04

Je serai curieux de voir ce qui se passe si tu enlèves le xorg.conf (en en faisant une sauvegarde)

sudo mv xorg.conf xorg.conf.ati.bak
Et que tu redémarres ton serveur X.

Je serai aussi curieux de savoir ce que racontent

Si elles sont prises en charge par radeon, alors normalement hal donnera comme pilote radeon. Mais est-ce vraiment le cas sur un vieux noyau de buntu 7.04 ?

Je viens également de remarquer que mon PC s'éteint normalement lorsque je me déconnecte d'abord de ma session pour l'éteindre via l'écran du login.

Alors ce probablement rien de plus qu'un un problème de permissions. Dis-nous quels groupes il y a, et auxquels tu appartiens, avec ces deux commandes en mode utilisateur (pas sudo)
